Prestigious.

In 1973, the very first East Georgia Marching Festival & Championships was held at Statesboro High School. While much has changed over the years, Georgia’s oldest marching band competition remains one of the largest, most prestigious competitions in the state and one of Statesboro’s most honored traditions.

Memorable.

Participating in marching band allows students an opportunity to showcase their hard work, be recognized for their skill, and learn the importance of teamwork. The EGMC, leaning on more than four decades of the pursuit of excellence in music, helps young musicians form memories and bonds that will last a lifetime.
